This was very nicely done. I loved the chemistry between the MCs and the emotion felt very real. Bobby... I've seen a few reviews by people far more sympathetic than I but honestly, I despised him. I've known far too many people like Bobby to be able to handwave his deliberate viciousness because deep down he's lonely and insecure. I know lonely and insecure people who would cut their own throats before they behaved like Bobby. Some people are just irredeemable assholes. (Having said that, if Mr Reed were to write Bobby's story - preferably with him getting some comeuppance for his behaviour here - I'd definitely be reading. I'm a masochist that way.)One star off a five star read because of the ending. It was so abrupt that I wondered if a chapter had been left out of my copy.
